The sun, just like everything else in God's universe works like clockwork, and has it's own phases, as seen from the video above and the photo below.

Activity on the sun waxes and wanes on an 11-year cycle. The sun is now coming out of its minimum period of activity, and moving toward a maximum that should occur around the end of 2013. Eleven years ago this week, one of the worst storms on record raged on the sun, churning huge amounts of plasma around the solar surface and spewing massive loads of particles into space and toward Earth. The Fingerprints of Creation by Dr. Robert V. We don't even have to believe in God, because the rocks themselves are faithful ! I enjoy nature walks around my North Georgia home because I can see the reality of Creation all around me when I am surrounded by the works of God's hands. Relevant To My Life: Hebrews 12:1
"...seeing we also are surrounded with so great a cloud
of witnesses, let us lay aside every weight, and the sin which does so easily ensnare us, and let us run with patience the race that is set before us," ****************** So many physical problems weigh me down. I couldn't enumerate them if I was willing. But, the Writer of Hebrews, probably Paul, compares our struggle to a race, like the 5K's I have ran. In these races, it's not just about who finishes first. It's all about finishing the set distance to the best of your ability. You are expected to push yourself. You want to achieve a new PR (personal record.) To reach the finish line, you have to drop weight, literally. I realized the mp3 player was a bad idea. Just more junk to wear. The girl here in the middle had a long sleeved shirt tied around her waist. She apparantly warmed up that morning after the race started and took it off. She should have thrown it down on the side of the road to retrieve later. I was surprised when I found a burst of speed when I caught sight of the finish line, and charged past her and several others here. Many witnesses are watching a race. You feel the pressure to do your best, especially when they are cheering at the finish line. This is what Paul is talking about here in Hebrews. All of the Heros of Faith that he had mentioned in chapter 11 are witnesses watching as we near the finish line. Keep the faith! Jesus' power, will make us overcomers. |
