The following image is from some half-website/ half-template I found online... not quite finished, but asking for money and trying to get a petition signed to create a new currency denomination. The site was apparently made from a template, because it still has the directions interspersed throughout the site builder's words. It seems the persons responsible do not realize all the monetary presidents are dead for a reason. The reason is clearly because presidents, like sports heroes and movie stars, are human. Ask Pete Rose. You want to wait until they are dead long enough to make no more mistakes before you decide if there are any still living who might be offended by spending their image. Take George Washington for example, every living relative of every man Washington had killed in battle was long dead before his face was on the one dollar bill. President Obama, by his own admission has killed men, or rather appointed their death.
I admit to describing some light-hearted choices for the President in the video. Yes, I am quite sure his days are getting too busy for golf now. But, in the interest of trivia give the following questions a go.
1. President Obama is getting less time for golf this year. He only had time for 8 games as of mid June, perhaps due to a heavy campaign schedule. How many games did he play the first three years of his term?
A. 28 games in 2009, 30 in 2010, & 34 in 2011
B. 34 games in 2009, 30 in 2010, & 28 in 2011
C. 18 games in 2009, 20 in 2010, & 24 in 2011
D. 24 games in 2009, 20 in 2010, & 18 in 2011
Hint: The number of times he played yearly is directly co-related to the direction of the unemployment figures in the US. (Both go up.)
2. Who was the 1st President to use the Teleprompter?
A. Barack Obama
B. Lyndon B. Johnson
C. George W. Bush
D. Bill Clinton
Hint: Most Presidential speeches have been written by speechwriters, as in Reagan's speech on the Shuttle disaster: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Qa7icmqgsow&feature=player_embedded Does this make a difference to you?
3. Who was the first president to have given a speech on television from the White House?
A. Franklin Delano Roosevelt
B. Dwight D. Eisenhower
C. Harry S. Truman
D. Richard Nixon
Hint: Television has played a role in politics since it was invented.
Thanks for playing the game! You can answer the questions below in the comments section, or on the YouTube page, or in your own head as if they were rhetorical questions. And, as always, I hope you vote this election day.
