Time and life changes all things. I find myself reading riddles, and the answers with out even trying to solve them. Sort of a short cut, low effort path to the entertainment I used to gain from the mental exercise. :) I guess that's mental cheating. But, my brain is not in the same shape it was 15 years ago, now is it?
I heard an anecdote once about a teacher who was tired of her students making fun of each other, and all the hurt feelings. So, she hung a mirror in the classroom with the letters I.Y.Q.Y.Q.R. printed overhead for students to read over and over aloud after a student had teased them for something. Invariably, the sad student would come away from the mirror laughing after realizing the letters sounded like the phrase, "I like You Like You Are!" That's definitely an entertaining approach to teaching children to accept themselves and each other.
I have a riddle from the Bible for you tonight, I have devised myself. Give it a try!
It is not hidden.
It is not far away.
It is not in outer space.
It is not overseas.
It is near by.
It is in your mouth.
It is in your heart.
Without it you will die.
What is it?
If I get no comments or emails with a solution guess by tomorrow, I will post the answer in a new blog. :)
Yes, I'm the Riddler tonight!
But, then Batman was good with riddles himself...
Batman: I see without seeing. To me, darkness is as clear as daylight. What am I?
The Riddler: Please! You're as blind as a bat!
[throws a batarang at his throne]
