God created us living, and valued that life that was created in His image so much that He made Himself a human man... robed Himself in flesh, and came to Earth to live among us. When Jesus died on the cross, He gave that most precious thing... His life... for us. I've told you before that we are important to Jesus. The Gospel According to Me
"But createdness [Geschaffenheit) in the widest sense of something’s having been produced [Hergestelltheit], was an essential item in the structure of the ancient conception of Being. The seemingly new beginning which Descartes proposed for philosophizing has revealed itself as the implantation of a baleful prejudice, which has kept later generations from making any thematic ontological analytic of the ‘mind’ [“Gemütes”] such as would take the question of Being as a clue and would at the same time come to grips critically with the traditional ancient ontology." -from Martin Heidegger's Being and Time
Heidegger's book was first published in 1927 in Nazi ruled Germany. The Nazi Socialist Worker's Party began in 1919 and Hitler assumed power over the party in the early 20's. Heidegger was a member of the Nazi Party, and rose in position when his mentor Edmund Husserl, a Jew was removed from his Department of Philosophy seat at the University of Freiburg, by Hitler's administration. Later, Heidegger never recanted his beliefs of racial superiority, nor apologized, though his relationship with Husserl was never the same. Hitler is gone. But, his ideas more or less remain, though many don't even realize their presence in our lives and laws today.
I know there are many who disagree with that last sentence I just wrote. But, just like Charles Darwin's theories of evolution, which Naziism was partly founded on, today's abortion laws and our definition of life by brain function are based on Nazi and Evolutionary principles. There is an attempt to distinguish between "social Darwinism" and the Science of "evolution" today, in name only. But, there is no difference in idea. The original idea was that the different races evolved from different primates: the eastern races from the orangutangs, the white race from the smarter chimps, and the black race from the less sophisticated gorillas or apes. So the white man's brain is supposed to be evolutionarily better suited for intelligent thinking. Now, we try to ignore the ideas of evolution having an effect on the races, and call that the "social" side of evolution. But, it's all the same nasty cup of dregs.
But, unlike Nazi ideas of evolution, their ideas of euthanasia have survived differently in our society today. The Nazi ideas of euthanasia have not changed in name, yet they have changed in practice. The Nazi's called their infamous program the T4 Euthanasia Program. The T4 came from the street address of the chancellery office on Tiergartenstrasse 4. Euthanasia is today considered assisting someone with a desire to die, though the T4 Program lied to the families of the disabled, sick, elderly, and otherwise mentally and physically "inferior" people who were exterminated. This included forced sterilization of those seen as unfit to reproduce.
Nazi Germany was not the first or only country to sterilize people considered "abnormal." The United States led the world in forced sterilizations before the Nazi Party improved on our idea. "Between 1907 and 1939, more than 30,000 people in twenty-nine states were sterilized, many of them unknowingly or against their will, while they were incarcerated in prisons or institutions for the mentally ill. Nearly half the operations were carried out in California. Advocates of sterilization policies in both Germany and the United States were influenced by eugenics." Source: Jewish Virtual Library
Using the entire psychological and medical community as decision makers, Hitler's regime systematically used these "mercy killings" to remove the non-producing eaters from among the German people so that they could rise to the position of greatness he felt they were destined to reach.
I think I will stop there. After all, you see the coorelation of today's abortion advocates who want our young people to be able to reach their full potential, and therefore advocate the removal of the non-producing eater from the mother's womb for the greater good of the parents. You will draw your own conclusions.
