connected with traditions of the Flood found among widely separated nations. They are associated with the Greek words pleion and pleos, meaning plenty or full. The Greek word pneuma, or Spirit, comes from the root pleu which means flowing.
Pleione is said to mean`sailing one' and her daughters "sailing ones," because the helical rising of the group in May marked the opening of navigation to the Greeks because sailing was safe after they had risen. The setting of the stars in the late autumn marked the close of navigation.
Job in the Old Testament mentioned the Pleaides, the Seven Sisters, the star cluster was visible in the night sky for him. Job 9:9, and in Job 38:31.
1, 000,ooo times faster. You can see our sun and closer planets whizzing by a few times. (Planet means "wandering star.") As you can see in the photo below from the opposite view from orbiting Electra, the Sun is not even visible in Electra's sky. Our sun is far too faint for our sister to see us. It is all a matter of perspective.
From my perspective now, in real time of course, it is bed time. Good night, and may the stars dance in your dreams.
