This tiny little Psalm of only eight verses is so full of specific praise to God's power. The psalmist speaks of obstacles as though they were living movable things. I wonder when I read these words if I can look at a gas pump guage and command the numbers to roll backwards; if I can speak a prayer and see Floyd County light up on command; if I can cast unemployment out of our country, and watch the oilspill drain out of the ocean. Sometimes we say so much when we can do so little. Often God does so much. His thoughts and actions are so much more than our words.
