1 Peter 1:24 For all flesh is as grass, and all the glory of man as the flower of grass. The grass withers, and the flower thereof falls away:
It's in the Bible. Not to make you worry or anything, but do what you can. I have learned since my disability that many people who do not have long term and short term insurance wait without pay for sometimes two years to be approved for Social Security, with no income. This is sad, but true. In my case, I had an insurance policy for both, and still waited for those to kick in. I can't imagine how life would have been if that had not been there. The few months you don't get a paycheck, you pool every resource and sell everything that is not bolted down to make the rent and keep the lights on as a single parent. Then you spend the next year trying to catch up, while paying for medical supplies, co-pays, and deductibles. Oh, but this won't happen to you. I forgot about that.
A few people, who have not been butchered by doctors practicing medicine, have said to me, "you were the exception. I have a good doctor so don't scare me. It won't happen to me." All I can say is nothing, because of Biblical admonitions against labeling this. I can just say, I hope that works out for you, and I pray God blesses you with insurance before you lay down under the knife and accept the popular medicine lies that you will be FINE. You haven't met the people who disagree with this pop med philosophy. They are in the offices of specialists and live their lives indoors away from you. You want to be fine? Pray for healing now, instead of having surgery for non-life threatening problems. Rarely is surgery without some complications. Believe me, you will pray for healing afterwards.
